Lizbeth in Costa Rica
“The BUV has again served as an ambulance. I was up the hill in Jazmín and a lady called Lizbeth was having some kind of attack and crying and complaining of much pain. It was starting to rain. We carried her to the BUV, laid her down in the cargo bed, and drove her down to the clinic.
At the hospital the doctor put serum to her vein and gave her pain relievers. The doctor said she would have died if we were any later. The BUV helped save Lizbeth’s life.
The BUV is used for many other tasks. Today, as maybe 40 other times, the team went up the hill with the equipment to raise another Yellow Smarts Model House at Jazmín, the shanty community. During rainy season the BUV is one of the very few vehicles that can go up and down that hill to deliver construction materials.”
